What does training includes?
This is a foundation program for advancing the practice of yoga and get acquainted with various levels of yoga, builds confidence and helps in finding your voice. The main aim of the yoga teacher training program is to help the students to develop and deepen their practice as well as to prepare the students to become successful teachers.
The training of the students includes the advanced studies of asanas in detail which increases the knowledge of proper alignment, potential risks and benefits of asanas. The students study the principles of anatomy and about observance of bodies. They learn about the hands-on adjustment, science and art of sequencing. They also learn the informed use of props for improving or modifying a posture. They learn to cultivate their voice. They learn the yoga history and philosophy. And finally they learn the Sanskrit names of yoga postures and the business of yoga.
The curriculum has been refined over the past 25 years. The students learn the art and science of delivering and designing a safe and dynamic class. The program put emphasis on the teaching principle for instructing the student’s bodies into alignment rather memorising & reciting sequences. The students are given the opportunity and space to find their own teaching style. With a legacy which includes the yoga leaders of to-day, and over 10,000 alumni the yoga teacher training is respected worldwide.
According to the directives of Yoga Alliances – USA, the 200 hours YTT program has to follow a light schedule in which about 6-7 hours of training in the day are dedicated to some aspects of yoga. The training could be intensive but enlightening. The different yoga schools have different schedules but usually the morning session begins at 05:30 A.M. starting with meditation which is followed by some yogic postures and may be some lectures or classes on anatomy or philosophy. Pranayama and chanting are also part of the schedule. Green tea, fruit refreshments and two to three yoga meals are provided during training. Written homework is a daily practice in order to gain in-depth knowledge of the subject. Sleeping early is also encouraged as being part of the yoga practice.
The usual schedule is in the morning after tea, it is satkarma or yogic cleansing for 15 minutes followed by chanting and pranayama for one hour. Then it is Yoga Asana for one and a half hour before breakfast. Then it is yoga anatomy for one hour and yoga philosophy for one hour before lunch. The second half session starts with yoga Nidra or yoga breathing for half an hour followed by Ashtanga /Hatha yoga for one hour forty five minutes. Then pranayama/meditation for half an hour followed by dinner. Lights are put out at 9 P.M.

The other inhabitant of the park are Tiger, Leopard, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, and Sambar deer, Monkeys, Antelopes, Nilgai and Goral. The park has more than 401 bird species. It is the first arranged ground for the migratory birds when they cross the Himalaya for coming to India. Holy Ganga is also a part of this park which covers about 26 KM of flow through this park.
